I am someone who is passionate about good design, layout and typography - naturally, web pages are the perfect medium to express those three things.

The satisfaction gained from a well designed page is a remarkable feeling. At the beginning there is an idea, a concept, a spark of imagination fuelled by a desire, a desire to create something appealing, something engaging. The journey of quenching that desire by adding piece after piece of graphics and code, by lining up each and every pixel, by studying how the browser's render the commands you feed it, this I feel, is a journey which I will never tire of.

What are my ideals?

Web design wise, my ideal is that everything should be clean, simple and valid.

• Clean - so that everything is clear to the user, the design should be transparent, nothing should be happening unless the user wishes it to happen.

• Simple - so that whatever you are trying to achieve is understood by the audience. Keep everything that is essential and shed everything which is not.

• Valid - not only in the sense of valid and standards compliant code but right from the beginning, right from the moment a reason for the web page is proposed up to the smallest bullet head and the largest video file, everything should be valid.

My designs and code are a means of self expression, personal fulfillment and enjoyment for me. The road taken in a design process borders on the feeling of perfection. If I find the opportunity to make some money on the side whilst doing something I love, that would be perfection. If not, being a little short of perfection is still a great result.
